“Cottonwood Clouds” – 12×16 inch Original

I love hiking above treeline, and there is no shortage of incredible high alpine hikes to do where I live in Colorado. Watching the monsoon clouds build in the summertime never ceases to fill me with awe. The day I hiked this section of the Colorado Trail up on Cottonwood Pass, the clouds moved in especially fast, reminding me of just how powerful nature truly is. I love the juxtaposition of the vibrant fireweed in the foreground against this moody summer sky.
