Getting to this point wasn’t easy

A few years back, I was majorly struggling at work. 
More and more responsibility was being piled on my plate, and I was becoming increasingly burned out every day. A job that was once creative and fun became completely draining and unfulfilling.

I’d always loved making art, but after college, I rarely made it a priority. It wasn’t till I hit emotional rock bottom that I finally picked up a paintbrush again – and it turned out to be the lifeline that saved me.

Not only did I feel the stress melt away as I painted, I felt more like myself than I had in years. I was able to totally relax and get lost in the process of painting. I started sleeping better, my relationship with my husband improved, and I felt inspired about life again. I even found a new career path and was able to quit my job!

My mom and I were BOTH diagnosed with cancer, the same month. Fortunately mine was caught early, but as I realized how precious life is, my priorities shifted. I started traveling almost constantly to spend time with my mom and adventure with my husband. Painting took a backseat since we were on the road so much.

While this season of travel was pretty amazing, after a while it felt like there was something missing. I’d walk into an art gallery and feel a tug at my heart. I’d see an Instagram reel of an artist painting, and something inside of me would stir.

Then, the pandemic hit and travel came to a halt. My mom passed at the end of 2020, and I found myself feeling anxious and lost. My emotional and physical well-being were starting to go downhill, and I KNEW I had to make a change – fast.

Yes, I’ve broken down the lessons, exercises, and painting projects to be easily digestible and watched at your own pace. You can expect to spend 2-3 hours/week, but it’s up to you if you want binge everything in one sitting or do the projects in smaller chunks over several days per week.
